FYP presentation over....holidays are here!

Last Tuesday, Xiaoman had her FYP poster presentation and it turned out to be quite alright. Hopefully, the results would be good too!^_^ Xiaoman was also very happy on the day of presentation because the week before the presentation, KC was telling Xiaoman that last minute he may not be able to come and support Xiaoman for the poster presentation as he would be busy carrying out a long experiment for the whole day. Well, Xiaoman was quite disappointed at first....but guess what, he gave Xiaoman a surprise by dropping by to support Xiaoman for her presentation after he finished his experiments.Really happy and touched that he made the effort to come down to give moral support, even though after a long day of experiments.Happy..happy!^_^

Holidays are here! Just had a gathering with my jie meis on Sunday and Xiaoman was very happy to be able to catch up with them about what had happened over the past few months. Well, things do changes quite a bit, with good news here and there, and great to know that my jie meis are doing well over the past few months. ^_^ Looking forward to next year....our 10th anniversary!!

What will Xiaoman be doing during holidays? Well,do some shopping(which Xiaoman has been longing for it for a long period of time),go on a short overseas trip and some labwork.Hm...tommorrow, it will be KC's turn to do his presentation.Well, KC invited Xiaoman to sit in to listen to his presentation and really hope can be there to support him and learn new things from his research work as well, but not sure whether Xiaoman would be able to be there because of some work assigned to Xiaoman which is very important as well.Really hope can attend...

Miss a lot of things and people

Well,it had been quite sometime Xiaoman last been to the lab. Perhaps about one month already....Really miss the lab,miss doing lab benchwork,miss my supervisor and miss my lab colleague and friend,KC.Sigh~ why had Xiaoman been 'missing in action' from the lab? Well, busy clearing all the other assignments from other modules. Pretty sad and guilty that Xiaoman was not able to go to lab but of course, she din neglect FYP totally because of that.No...no...she is also trying hard to write report and analyse data at home.

Haha...today, Xiaoman dropped by at lab an hour before her maths test to study there, also to give KC a surprise.Haha...^_^ really did surprise him!Hee...he mention that earlier today just asked Xiaoman's friend about Xiaoman and Xiaoman suddenly 'pop' out.Haha...an example of speaking about the devil.

Xiaoman hope to be able to have the time to go on a shopping trip but maybe this plan has to be shelved for another one month ba.After mid-November.....

After Xiaoman return from the Taiwan trip which is about two weeks ago,despite having eaten a lot in Taiwan and also lately due to stress also, Xiaoman's weight suddenly dropped.What's wrong? Till now Xiaoman also don't know.

Anyway,today Xiaoman is really very happy^_^ Xiaoman's jie meis came down to school to celebrate her birthday and this came as a surprise which really gave Xiaoman a very big shock.Xiaoman thought lunch was only the three of us,LY,YA and Xiaoman.
Hm...Xiaoman would say LY really good at keeping the surprise a secret even until the moment before lunchtime Xiaoman still did not suspect anything.
So touched and shocked to see my jie meis,really long time didn't see you all le. And you all got Xiaoman's favourite strawberry cake,Yummy^_^ Thanks for the present as well,so happy got so many of my favourite author's books to read le!
Hope to have more time to chat with you all...

Also,really thanks to YA for being around to celebrate Xiaoman's birthday and accompanying Xiaoman for lunch during these few weeks.Really happy to have you around to share Xiaoman's joy and stress problems.

June is here^_^

Yeah^_^ June is here again!! Haha...Xiaoman just like the month of June^_^ A happy month with lots of fun and laughter. Holidays...a special month^_^

Anyway, got to go on the Singapore Flyer yesterday and really enjoy the beautiful night view a lot. The skyline...well,what to say...wonderful!! ^_^ And it's great to be able to view Singapore high up in the capsule.After which, got to go for fish spa for the second time in this month.Good to relax a bit after a busy week.
Had the chance to pop by a shop whereby people can create their own bears...haha,nice cosy place but it's rather pricey to create a bear.Xiaoman was quite tempted to create one but well, maybe some other time...hm...

Sometime,when Xiaoman is a bit free or after a long day, Xiaoman will sit down and go into deep thoughts. About what? Many things in life...like what do I really want in life and fate that brings people together as friends.Lately, Xiaoman is thinking it's so amazing that within such short time,strangers can become acquaintances,then become working colleagues and then friends.

Just a few months ago,you don't even have an impression of Xiaoman as she's just too quiet in class.
Now,you understand Xiaoman quite well,and what really amazed Xiaoman is that you are so observant about Xiaoman's habits,lifestyle and moods! Really shocked Xiaoman that you do notice the small details!!
Haha...the 'invisible' force that bring people together can be quite unbelieveable^_^

Xiaoman feels more secure

Hm...it's good to have someone around otherwise Xiaoman will feel very lost and lonely.Why does Xiaoman say this? Because today,a few things occur and Xiaoman suddenly feel very lost and don't know what to do,fortunately, KC is around to help Xiaoman and his presence makes Xiaoman feels better.

Due to Xiaoman's inexperience in lab work,Xiaoman feels very lost when things start to crop up unexpectedly.Then,the air-conditioner in the lab suddenly is down and the whole lab becomes so warm and stuffy,Xiaoman has no idea who to approach in school for help with the air-conditioner, especially since now is school holidays.
Fortunately, KC help Xiaoman handle the problem and get the air-conditioner back, and also guide Xiaoman along by giving advice on how to do the lab work.

Also,Xiaoman is quite used to having her usual clique of friends around to go for lunch together and not used to having lunch alone as there will not be anyone to chat with and share problems and joys with.Xiaoman knows that she must learn to be independent especially during this period of time when doing project but Xiaoman is trying to adapt.
As for now,Xiaoman is not feeling lonely during lunch as KC is accompanying Xiaoman for lunch each day.^_^

Well,thanks to KC ^_^, Xiaoman will not feel lost, scared and lonely. Very happy that he is around. ^_^

Must work hard!

This week,Xiaoman got to learnt a lot in the lab while doing my FYP.Things which Xiaoman had not learnt before in JC and normal practical lessons.Very happy to be able to learn new skills and techniques^_^ This gives Xiaoman a great motivation to learn more and do a good job for the project.

Yesterday,after tuition,got to accompany bro to an exhibition for all the Australia renowned universities and it was an eye-opening experience! Last time,only been to a smaller scale exhibition with universities from various places but yesterday's was so grand with all the universities from just Australia only. Xiaoman also got to look through further studies brochures for postgrads and was a bit shocked by their tough requirements.
A wake-up call for Xiaoman?Kind of...

Indeed,it's kind of like telling Xiaoman,"well,time to plan where you want to head to for the future further studies".Scary ya...

Earlier, on last Friday, got to know that Xiaoman got the chance to do FYP.
Then on Tuesday, got to select the topics that Xiaoman would be interested in doing.Xiaoman really hopes to work with Prof Chew and the topic is also something Xiaoman is interested in but because Xiaoman's classmate also interested in the same topic so we had to do balloting for the topic to see who get it.

Today, Xiaoman got to know about which topic to do...
Xiaoman's dream comes true!^_^Happy...happy^_^ Must work hard for the FYP!

So nice to take a break.Can sleep long hours and don't care about the alarm clock,take my time to read the newspapers and books,go out shopping...

Last Friday,got to go shopping, went on the Duck tour like a tourist...haha..,took my time to eat steamboat buffet and fondue buffet,and had a fish spa session.So happy,haha...^_^ The fish spa experience was great though kind of not use to it at first.It was spa for the feet and got to put my feet in a pool of water filled with small Doctor fishes and the fishes would surround the feet and it was kind of ticklish at first like many fishes "nibbling" at my feet but after some time it's quite nice and relaxing.=)First time trying this fish spa.^_^

Recently,like the commercial song sang by Fahrenheit and SHE alot.It's for a yoghurt drink commercial and the commercial is so cute.The song is called "Suan Tian" direct translation will be Sour Sweet.Cute song,nice^_^

Exams are over!!

Yeah...at last the exams are over!!! Though more relaxed after the last paper yesterday but don't know why suddenly feeling very lost and don't know what should I do next. This is because for the past few weeks the rountine is to wake up,study for exams and sleep, and suddenly everything just ended and suddenly it seems like how come the workload is so much lighter.Haha....need time to adjust...

Just found some Fahrenheit and SHE songs in Chipmunks version.So cute!^_^Like them a lot.

Very soon we will be informed whether we will be able to do FYP for next semester. Not sure will I make it.Hm...hope can make it, but then again I'm caught in a dilemma because it is something new and not so sure whether I'm able to handle it.

Way to destress

Counting down two more weeks to exams!Panic and stressed...
Well,examination period is the worst period whereby all the usual controlling of my diet are all thrown out of the windows.This is the time where I no longer take the extra care of what I'm eating and whether the food I'm eating will cause me to put on the extra weight in the end.

Why do I say so? Because every time during the examination period,when I'm very stressed,my way to destress is EAT and most of the time,eating sweet stuff makes me real happy. Very sinful act though,to eat all the sweet stuff but just can't control.

Just today,other than my brunch,I've eaten a slice of cookies and cream ice-cream cake and 3 strawberry cream swiss rolls.Really sweet and nice^_^ But not so healthy,haha^_^ Don't know what sweet thing I will eat for tonight's dessert again...

A better week

Yeah~^_^ Happy that most of the assignment are done and cleared.Now left with one more lab report or maybe two because the other one is not confirmed yet.After that will be the preparation for the exams.Then holidays...

Today,Zun updated his blog in the early morning.Hm...get to know that well,there's a new Taiwan-based website set up for Fahrenheit by their company.It's accessible via www.farenciti.com, visited the site,quite nice but I think it's new so a lot of improvement will come by after a while.

Feeling better this week,at least not so tired and busy like last week.Happier too^_^Hope to keep it that way.Lots of my friends' birthdays fall on this week(to be precise, there are five of them) and my brother's birthday too.^_^So every day is like a happy day for me because people around me are happy too!

A Tiring Week

Another week comes and goes again...Really very tired this week.
Lots of things to do and every night, it has become a norm to sleep for only four hours. Sometimes, even when I'm supposed to be sleeping, my eyes are closed but my brain is still thinking about what is the plans for the next day and how can I do better for this assignment or that assignment. Trying hard to stay awake during lessons as well.Really hope that this semester can pass and I can take a good rest after that.

After this semester,it will be the last 3 months break already(or I should say 2 months break because of the attachment in end of June).Must treasure it otherwise in future when start working, no such long breaks anymore.Hm...what should I do for the break?Must really go and think about it...so that it will not go to waste...^_^

Most busy time of the semester

About one and a half months to my exams...
Now, still have lots of assignments to clear, presentations to prepare, lab reports to write and tests to study for.Another busy time of the semester...
Hopefully, the exams will come and go quickly and Xiaoman is looking forward to the May holidays again^_^ Every single day Xiaoman will continue to work hard and countdown to the holidays.Jia you, Xiaoman!^_^

One week has past...and still very happy. The happiness because of seeing Zun last Sunday still lingers on within me. The happiness motivates me to continue working hard each day and keeps me going on despite being tired after long hours in school. What to say...other than my family and friends, Zun is also Xiaoman's important source of motivation.^_^

Hope that this semester Xiaoman can do well in all the modules.^_^

Wu Zun and the other Nanfengs in S'pore

So HAPPY today!^_^
Wu Zun is in town with Calvin, George and Eric to promote the drama Romantic Princess. Went down to bugis junction to support them, especially Wu Zun. Though it rained during the autograph session,but got to see them in person and got their autographs made me really very happy today.

First time seeing Wu Zun in person and so close,and well, what to say, he is simply too charming and his eyes are big.(Maybe because mine are small so when I see his big charming eyes,a bit the shock.Haha^_^)He is also very nice,giving encouragement to every fan as he shakes each of our hands.

Calvin is very handsome too and I feel so paiseh that because it is raining,so when I went up on the stage to shake their hands and Calvin was first in the row, I'm still struggling to keep my umbrella.Happy that he still gave me a radiant smile and waited for me with a stretched out hand. Thanks Calvin^_^!!

George and Eric,it's really nice to meet them too.I think they come here for the first time for promo activities, not too sure though.

Hope that Wu Zun would have read my encouragement note for him already^_^ Jia you Wu Zun and Calvin!

Wow, so fast it's February and the Year of Rat is here...
Looking forward to the new year and hopefully it will be another great year ahead, good progress in studies and work, good health and lots of happiness for all my friends, family and not forgetting myself too^_^
Hm...chinese new year is when there's lots of goodies and food to eat and lots of fun with loved ones. Although there are lots of yummy food to eat, especially the raw fish in the yusheng which is Xiaoman's favourite, must control cannot eat too much especially the prawn rolls and goodies. Otherwise there will be a chubby Xiaoman after the festive season.Hm...^_^
Alright, must go help out for the preparation for chinese new year, wish everyone a very happy new year and enjoy^0^

My Food Thoughts

First week of school is over and the weekend is here again!
Still trying to switch my biological clock back to school mode... a little stressful process.
But I can do it, only a matter of time. Back to my busy lifestyle after a one month's break.

Haha...craving for my favourite dessert which I haven't eaten it for quite sometime. The sweet corn and red bean dessert.It's shaved ice topped with sweet corn and red bean drizzle with condensed milk and brown sugar syrup. Yummy!! Going to eat it later...
Always like to go hunting for good food during the weekends.^_^

Lately, learning to cook...always thinking since I like to go hunting for good food and like Japanese and Korean food so much(esp. Japanese food) and everyone at home can cook better than me how can I not know how to cook. I hope to learn more dishes, my new year resolution? Now, only know how to do basic dishes and dishes like omelette rice and Korean style stewed chicken with potatoes. Work hard Xiaoman, learn to cook more good food in 2008^_^

A brand new year, new goals and new hopes ^_^
Looking forward to 4 Jan 2008 (Fri)... why?
It's the big day whereby Fahrenheit will be launching their 2nd album. The two sided Fahrenheit album (Man Version versus Boy Version). Like the Man Version a lot, very cool!

School term going to start soon...must start to prepare myself for school soon. Haha...need to tone down on all the fun. ^_^

White Christmas in Korea

This year's Christmas was very special and memorable. My first white christmas! ^_^
During my trip in Korea I got to experience the banana boat snow ride, snow sledding, ATV ride in the snow and skiing which cannot be done in Singapore. It's a brand new experience for me and I enjoyed it a lot. Though I am back in Singapore now, but my heart still lingers in Korea.
Hm...wonder how long that feeling will last.

Other than that I got to see a fantastic breaking performance in a theater by the B-Boyz. Very funny too. Heard that they just got a gold award for some breaking competition with other countries not long ago. Cool!

For the meals in Korea, for every meal there will be all kinds of kimchi in small plates and they are very delicious! Like the kimchi and their rice in the stone bowl a lot.Yummy,that makes me very hungry now. I like the bean sprouts kimchi a lot.^_^

During the trip, other than the Korean tour guide who follows us throughout the 6-day trip, there's also a Korean photographer. He's very cute.Haha...^_^ Throughout the trip, his duties are much more than the tour guide; he helped to load and unload the luggages of the group when we change hotels, helped to buy admission tickets for the group and serve us during meals, etc. I didn't know that he had to do so much work before the trip.Really admire him^_^
Really made the Korea trip real fun and cared a lot about our welfare.A big thank you to him! Gamsahammida, Xiao Jang^_^

Great trip and experience. Korea rocks! A few more hours it will be a new year already.Let's usher in a happy 2008 and have a sweet ending for 2007! Cheers ^_^

Cool Night Safari Trip

Wow, it had been ages since I last been to night safari which I can't even remember the exact year and date. It's great to be able to visit the night safari yesterday again. The feeling is rather different as the Christmas joy and celebration is in the atmosphere.

Well, the cool trip has two meanings to it though, one of which is the celebration and decoration there is really cool! ^_^ There are tribal dance performance and merry makers going around to entertain the visitors. The second meaning to the cool trip is because it's really very cold and cool due to the fact that it had rained before that and when taking the tram ride, the cold air just keep blowing against everyone's face. Really nice experience to be at the night safari again^_^

Christmas is coming...yea...christmas is coming...looking forward to lots of fun and good food.Yummy!!! ^o^

Last Saturday(1 Dec) was Show's debut concert in Singapore. Very nice concert...I like his dance moves a lot but why din he sing the new song that he sang with Elva in his new album.I like that song a lot but din see him perform that song.hm...talking about concert...when will Fahrenheit come to Singapore for a concert.Hope they will come soon.^_^
